  • Print Control
Printing is always a site-specific function. Xponent establishes a partnership between the developer and the site administrator to manage reporting functions.

The developer assigns a print control to an output object and determines whether record selections and sort options should be editable for a given report. The site administrator can create multiple copies of the print control and assign runtime print options for groups or users.

Queues, forms, and submittal options are always controlled by the site administrator. In addition, Xponent support assists site managers in modifying delivered source code for the Xponent print procedure.

    Security
Each user has a password whose length and expiration days are determined by group. Each user also belongs to one or more access classes. Site administrators establish security by a matrix of classes, by codes, or by day and time.

Because Xponent uses object names like ‘Work Order Tasks’ instead of procedure ID’s, administrators can review site security easily.

    Applications/Activity Logging
Administrators use Xponent’s import capabilities to update objects, dictionary elements, and messages.

Administrators also monitor application and background activity. For certain kinds of processes, administrators can establish task servers to shift processing demands.
